الوصف
Copper is an essential nutrient for humans. It has several physiological functions and is an integral component of numerous enzymes such as ceruloplasmin, which has ferroxidase activity and Lysyl oxidase that is necessary for the cross linking of collagen.
دواعي الإستعمال
Copper deficiency may manifest itself as neutropenia, leukopenia, bone demineralisation, depigmentation of the skin and hair, mental and physical retardation or impaired immune function. After stress, acute trauma, or an inflammatory process, the level of serum copper rises because the synthesis of ceruloplasmin, copper’s primary carrier protein, increase. Levels are also increased in malignancies, “collagen” diseases, and pregnancy.
