It is one of the most common parasitic infections worldwide and is transmitted primarily through contaminated water or food .Giardiasis is generally treatable and preventable, but early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to reduce symptoms and transmissionThe Giardia antigen rapid test in humans is a quick and easy immunoassay that uses lateral flow immunochromatography technology and qualitatively detects Giardia lamblia antigen in stool samples, typically providing results within 10 to 15 minutes.

Used to diagnose symptomatic patients suspected of having giardiasis. Provides rapid, point-of-care results enabling timely treatment decisions. Since the parasite antigen excretion in stool samples is intermittent a negative result may not always rule out infection by Giardia lamblia. Rapid antigen detection complements traditional diagnosis methods such as microscopy, ELISA-based antigen detection, and PCR.
