Cardiolipin Antibodies, IgG, Serum

الوصف

Anti cardiolipin antibodies are a heterogeneous group of autoantibodies of the IgG, IgM and IgA classes directed against phospholipids. These autoantibodies occur in a variety of disorders such as primary anti phospholipid antibody syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and in some apparently healthy subjects. See Also Anti phospholipid Antibodies, β-Beta-2-Glycoprotein 1 Antibodies, Lupus Anticoagulant and ANA

دواعي الإستعمال

Anti cardiolipin antibodies are mainly associated with thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, and spontaneous abortion. Correlations are strongest with anti cardiolipin IgG antibodies, which are apparently specific for β-2-glycoprotein 1 complexed to negatively charged phospholipids. These autoantibodies demonstrate cross reactivity with cardiolipin components of other test reagents such as VDRL and RPR causing false positive results.
