الوصف
HDL is a class of heterogeneous lipoproteins containing approximately equal amounts of lipid (cholesterol) and protein (mainly Apolipoprotein A-1). HDL is involved in several metabolic functions including reverse cholesterol transport (removing cholesterol from peripheral tissues and delivering it to the liver and to steroidogenic organs), anti-oxidative mechanisms and endothelial function.
