الوصف
Flow cytometric analysis of leukaemias and lymphomas is interpretive, combining the patterns and intensity of antigen expression to reach a definitive diagnosis. In acute leukaemia, the ability of flow cytometry to identify myeloid versus lymphoid differentiation approaches 98%. Flow cytometry is very useful in distinguishing chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) from B- prolymphocytic leukaemia (B-PLL) which is typically a more aggressive disease than CLL
دواعي الإستعمال
Flow cytometry is an important tool in the differential diagnosis of leukaemias and lymphomas. Depending on the initial diagnosis, a panel of anti cell surface marker antibodies are used to identify the lineage, maturation stage and percentage of peripheral blood or bone marrow cell populations.
