دواعي الإستعمال
LDH is decreased in lavage fluid in pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. LDH is a normal component of CSF. Increased amounts may occur in association with ischemic necrosis, meningitis, leukaemia, metastatic cancer of the CNS, and lymphoma. CSF LDH is higher in stroke than in transient ischemic attack. LDH measurement is used in the differential diagnosis of intracranial haemorrhage in neonates versus traumatic tap. LDH is elevated in proportion to severity of CNS haemorrhage, but unchanged by traumatic tap.
