الوصف
Myoglobin is present in all skeletal and cardiac muscle cells. Increase in myoglobin is a transient finding; it occurs within 1-4 hours of onset of symptoms after a myocardial infarction and returns to reference range within 24 hours of onset.
دواعي الإستعمال
Increased in injury of skeletal or cardiac muscle, secondary toxic myoglobinuria (Haff disease), severe electrical shock and thermal burns. Patients with myoglobinuria are at risk of acute renal failure.
