دواعي الإستعمال
Thyroglobulin antibodies are positive in some cases of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves’ disease and, at lower titres in other thyroid diseases. This test is frequently done in combination with Thyroid Microsomal antibodies since autoimmune thyroiditis may demonstrate a response to antigens other than thyroglobulin. Other autoimmune disorders such as Sjogren’s syndrome, SLE, RA and autoimmune hemolytic anemia may be positive for thyroid antibodies, as may patients with myxedema, granulomatous thyroiditis, thyrotoxicosis, non-toxic nodular goiter, pernicious anemia and thyroid carcinoma. Normal individuals, especially elderly females, may also have thyroglobulin antibodies.
