Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA), Plasma

الوصف

tPA is a major component of the fibrinolytic system that is synthesised by endothelial cells. tPA transforms plasminogen to plasmin, the enzymatically active form, which degrades fibrin into soluble fibrin degradation products. Thus, tPA-mediated plasminogen activation has a main role in the dissolution of fibrin in circulation. See Also Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 1, Plasma

دواعي الإستعمال

High levels of tPA concentrations are associated with atherosclerotic conditions such as carotid atherosclerosis and peripheral vascular disease and are associated with an increased risk for a first-ever stroke, an increased risk for myocardial infarction and cardiovascular mortality.
