Toxocara canis Antibodies, IgG Serum

الوصف

Toxocara canis is the dog roundworm. Human toxocariasis occurs after ingestion of infective eggs that when hatched; migrate to liver, lungs, muscle and brain. Three types of toxocariasis are recognised: visceral larva migrans characterised by fever, malaise, cough and bronchospasm, abdominal pain, hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenitis, bronchopulmonary signs and occasionally failure to thrive. Ocular larva migrans is characterised by larval or hyaline remnants in eosinophilic granulomatous lesions in the eye and covert toxocariasis which may be entirely sub-clinical. Toxocariasis has also been proposed as a potential aetiology in neurologic disorders when the larvae migrate in the central nervous system.

دواعي الإستعمال
