Increased urinary uric acid levels occur in gout, leukaemia, Wilson’s disease, cystinosis, viral hepatitis, polycythaemia vera and sickle cell anaemia. Decreased levels are found in folic acid deficiency, xanthinuria, and lead toxicity.

5 ml of 24 Hrs Urine Collection Stability: 4 Days at 15-25 °C

State 24 Hrs urine volume. Do not refrigerate and add NaOH to keep urine pH alkaline (pH > 8.0) to prevent uric acid precipitation.
