What is the InBody test?
The purpose of the InBody test is to measure these elements and determine their quantities. Until recently, the diagnosis of obesity was concerned with appearance without taking into account the balance of body composition. To achieve a smart nutritional plan that includes logical health care, it is first necessary to perform an accurate body composition analysis to achieve a balance between the four main components of the body.
InBody devices use segmental bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to accurately measure body components. This is done by sending multiple electrical currents through the body, which measure up to six different impedances of the torso and the four limbs.
The innovative InBody analysis is distinguished by providing accurate results for body composition, such as measuring body fat, muscle mass, segmental fat-free mass, body fat percentage, and metabolic rate.
What you should do before Inbody testing?
- Abstain from eating a meal and drinking large amounts of fluid at least 2 to 3 hours before the test.
- Drink enough fluids over the 24 hours preceding the test to ensure normal hydration at the time of the test.
- Avoid exercising for 12 hours before the test.
- Avoid caffeine within 3 hours of the test.
- Empty bladder (urinate) at least 30 minutes prior to testing.
- Do not drink alcohol within 24 hours of the test.
- If you plan to track changes, please try to be consistent with the time of day that you get tested (and, for females, the time of month).
