Description
Listeria is an intracellular microorganism. Approximately 7% of humans are infected with the pathogen. Sources of infection Listeria Antibodies, Serum include milk, chicken meat, soft cheese and fresh salads. The route of infection is transplacental in foetuses, and oral in children and adults.
Indications
Clinical indications of infection include diarrhea, meningitis, skin infections, septicemia, influenza-like symptoms, and in cases of infection during pregnancy it can lead to death of the fetus inside the uterus.
