Indications
The urine mercury test only measures exposure to elemental and inorganic mercury. Organic mercury is not passed out of the body in the urine and thus cannot be measured this way. Measurement of mercury in urine is the recommended biologic monitor for workers exposed to metallic and inorganic mercury.
