Indications

Increased total protein excretion is seen in the nephrotic syndrome, diabetic nephropathy, abnormal renal tubular absorption, heavy metal poisoning, sickle cell disease, degenerative and irritative conditions of the lower urinary tract, and sarcoidosis. In addition, increased urinary protein excretion is seen in malignant conditions such as myeloma of the kidney, multiple myeloma, myelo and lymphoproliferative disorders and urinary tract malignancies.

5 ml of 24 Hrs Urine Collection Stability: 1 Day at 15-25 °C 7 Days at 2-8 °C 1 Month at (-15)-(-25) °C

Special Precautions

Keep cool during collection & avoid blood contaminated samples. State 24 Hrs urine volume. Centrifuge samples containing precipitates.
