MedLabs Supports Himmetna Initiative by Renovating and Refurbishing the Princess Basma Health Center

MedLabs recently supported the “Himmetna” initiative through its new project focused on rehabilitating several health centers. They successfully refurbished the laboratory at the Princess Basma Health Center located in the Muhajireen area in Ras Al Ain. MedLabs donated modern and advanced laboratory equipment and fully renovated and furnished the laboratory.

This support aligns with MedLabs’ programs that emphasize social responsibility and their commitment to supporting the local community through all possible means, recognizing that advanced healthcare is a right for everyone in society.

In addition to equipping and furnishing the laboratory, MedLabs also provided training for the laboratory team and will regularly monitor the quality to ensure accuracy and the highest standards of operations. They pledged to continue supporting the laboratory as an integral part of the MedLabs family in the kingdom.

The Princess Basma Health Center is considered the first model primary healthcare center, offering various specialized services to patients. It includes a laboratory, pharmacy, mini operating room, and provides special services for people with special needs and the elderly. The center also offers medication delivery to homes and operates emergency services 24/7, serving around 22,000 patients monthly.

MedLabs’ coverage extends throughout the kingdom, with branches in Palestine and Iraq. The reference laboratory in Amman is the largest and most advanced in the region, with a team of over 600 experienced and qualified staff conducting over 1,000 medical tests daily from various specialties and receiving thousands of samples daily from within Jordan and beyond. MedLabs’ reference laboratory in Amman was the first private sector laboratory in Jordan to be accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in 2011. It holds accreditations from CAP, ISO 15189, ISO 9001, and received King Abdullah II Award for Excellence. All of MedLabs’ branches have also been accredited by the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) with an excellent rating.
