Description
Immunological assay for the detection of IgG autoantibodies against nuclear pore complex glycoprotein 210 (gp210) in human serum. Anti-gp210 antibodies are associated with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) and are used as a supportive marker for diagnosis, particularly in patients with suspected PBC and negative anti-mitochondrial antibodies (AMA).
Indications
Detection of anti-gp210 (anti-nuclear pore complex) antibodies as an aid in the diagnosis of Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), particularly in patients with cholestatic liver enzyme abnormalities or when anti-mitochondrial antibodies (AMA) are negative. Positive anti-gp210 antibodies may also provide prognostic information regarding the risk of more advanced or progressive PBC.
