معامل السائل الدماغي الشوكي, الغلوبيولين المناعي G - الألبيومين

الوصف

The CSF Index is a calculated parameter used to assess the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and to help distinguish between increased permeability and intrathecal protein production. It is based on the ratio of total protein or albumin concentrations in cerebrospinal fluid and serum.

دواعي الإستعمال

This test helps evaluate whether elevated protein levels in the CSF are due to: Disruption of the blood-brain barrier, allowing serum proteins to pass into the CSF, or Local production of proteins within the central nervous system (CNS). It is often used in the diagnostic workup of meningitis, encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions affecting the CNS
