Description
Detects CRMP-5 (CV2) neuronal autoantibodies associated with paraneoplastic neurologic autoimmunity.
Indications
Evaluates suspected paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes, particularly with small-cell lung carcinoma or thymoma, and symptoms such as chorea, neuropathy, myelopathy, or vision loss.

Special Precautions
Serum is preferred; CSF may be useful when serum interference is suspected. Avoid gross hemolysis, lipemia, or icterus; this may be reflex-only.
