Description
This urine test is a screen for congenital disorders of carbohydrate metabolism such as galactosaemia, hereditary fructose intolerance and essential pentosuria.
Indications
Test results are positive in any case of glucosuria, normal late pregnancy and lactation, galactosaemia, essential pentosuria (pentose), muscular dystrophy (ribose) and infants on artificial diets.

10 ml of Urine Room Temperature
Special Precautions
Avoid delay, refrigerate specimen if it can not be transported or processed immediately. Samples contaminated with feces are rejected.
